My two girls after over 5 month wait finally was able to get their Hatchimals and they were not disappointed. I was impressed at the muti-functions these little animated toys were capable of. They speak, move, and light up. These little critters are still holding their attention much longer than their Furbys. They got them on Easter and still play with them often and it is almost June and they are still running on the batteries that came with them. I am impressed.
The Safari Learning Station" from LeapFrog grows with children while keeping them entertained through interactive learning. The three-in-one arch adjusts from floor play to standing height. Three different modes allow Giraffe, Lion and Zebra to introduce the ABCs and 123s while playing safari-themed tunes. The light-up piano lets tiny tots discover shapes and colors. Kids are extra engaged when they spin Elephant's bead spinner, twist Chameleon's tail and drop the balls through Monkey's tail to practice motor skills and learn about colors. For ages 6 months and older. Price: $49.99 at leapfrog.com.

This game is seriously a riot!  You gotta see it, for real.  All you have to do is add your favorite foods (think fruit, marshmallows, etc) to each fork and then place the hat on your head, turn it on, and when the music starts the snacks spin and you have to eat as many and as much as you can before the music stops.  This is the game this year that will make almost any family famous on Instagram!
It also comes with a one-year FreeTime Unlimited subscription, which sets limits, so you don’t have to worry about kids wading into adult waters either. For example, it won’t answer questions such as where babies come from or any other hot topic questions. It tells them to ask an adult instead. It also won’t play songs with naughty words, and it reinforces good manners by thanking them for using words like “please.” There are also parental controls so you can set time limits, see what they’re up to or even pause the device. It comes with a two-year warranty too, so if they somehow break it, you can get a new one at no cost.

Kano, a company that strives to produce educational toys that teach STEM, procured a licensing deal involving the Harry Potter franchise in 2018. As a result, they introduced the Harry Potter coding kit. Kids can build their own wand using the kit, which they can then use to control action on a computer or television screen. Moving the wand in a certain way causes events like bells ringing and owls appearing. Kids have the option of over 70 "wizard challenges" to help them master their homemade wands.
We can’t wait to bust this guy out of his crate and, well, your kids will too!  They’ll use the crowbar (that comes with it) to pop open that lock and release this little monster from his prison!  He’ll even make over 45 different sounds and when he’s turned upside down, dropped, or knocked over.  When they pull his tongue, he’ll make funny noises, vibrate, and his eyes will glow.  Even better, your kids can record their voice and this creature will play back their message in their own ‘creature voice.’  There are a bunch of different Crate Creatures to choose from too.  See all the options here!
Some of these toys will make you nostalgic - like the updated version of Polly Pocket and Lego's enchanting Hogwarts Great Hall—both of which would make cool toys for Christmas. Others are updates on modern favorites, like the Hatchimals Mystery toys and Paw Patrol's Ultimate Rescue Fire Truck. The top toys for 2018 have something for everyone, whether your child is interested in STEM or wants a high-tech snuggle buddy.
These super cute Little Live Wrapples do just that….wrapple around your kids wrist.  Their tail is like those snap bracelets we all used to have in the 80’s and the 90’s, so they stay on their wrist securely.  Plus, these cuties have over 50 different sounds and reactions and their eyes even light up to match their mood!  There are 4 different Wrapples to choose from.  See all the options here!
Everything we do in religion must be done by Jesus' authority (Col. 3:17). The Scriptures provide us to all good works (2 Tim. 3:16,17), so if a practice is not included in God's word, it must not be a good work. If a practice is not authorized in the New Testament, then it must be human in origin and therefore not pleasing to God (2 John 9; Gal. 1:6-9; Matt. 15:9; Prov. 14:12; etc.)

From simulating x-rays and sonograms using red and blue lenses that reveal the insides of animals to closing up wounds and cuts, mix and make gelly ticks, and more, kids can learn what it takes to become a Veterinary physician. The set includes suture skin, plastic curved needle, plastic tweezer scissors, black nylon thread, cat anatomy poster, dog blister mold and much more. For ages 6 and older. Price: $19.99 at alexbrands.com.

"August marks one year since the introduction of Fingerlings, and we're really excited that we have the opportunity to continue to deliver the interactivity of this toy to children in new and different ways," said Sydney Wiseman, creator of Fingerlings and brand manager at WowWee. "The response we've received to Fingerlings has been remarkable, so we took a lot of the technology used in the original fingertip friends and built it up to include additional innovative features like KissTech and TalkBack technology, packaged in a cuddly plush that we know kids will love."

It features 15 unique instruments across five different genres of music, enabling a truly hands-on physical approach to learning as preschoolers mix (and remix) their own musical creations, said Schacht. Best of all, kids are in control of their very own compositions by adding or subtracting instruments, changing the tempo and layering in fun sound effects.

Seriously how cute is Ricky the trick loving pup!?  He’s new from FurReal and totally interactive.  In fact, not only does he respond with over 100 sounds and motions, but he actually performs the cutest little tricks ever like flipping his bone, ‘shaking paws’ with you, barking a catchy little tune, and so much more!  Did we mention he’s affectionate too?  The kiddos can help ‘train’ him and reward him with treats.  When they do that, Ricky the pup will eat them and, well, when they pet his back he’ll poop them out.  This one comes with 18 dog treats, a treat pouch, and a fun little bone toy too!  We love him!
Acts 2:36,41 - This example shows what it means for people to learn the gospel before they are baptized. The people were given evidence that Jesus is God's Son (v14-36). They were told that, on the basis of this evidence, they must "know assuredly" that Jesus is Lord and Christ (v36). Those who were baptized were those who gladly received this message (v41). Can babies hear and learn in this way?
Some people admit that babies have no sin, but they baptize them anyway as a "dedication" to encourage parents to train the child properly. But where does the Bible say this is the purpose of baptism? The purpose of baptism is to receive remission of sins. And furthermore, we have learned that no one can decide that another person will be dedicated to God. Each person must decide that for himself.

Churches that baptize babies often have a practice called "confirmation." People are baptized as babies, but later when they get old enough to understand and make their own choice about serving God, they are taught and are asked to publicly "confirm" their faith and their desire to live for God. The very existence of such a practice is an admission that the child did not understand, believe, and repent before he was baptized.

Introduce your kids to the satisfaction of rescuing animals, even if they aren't ready for a live pet. Scruff-a-Luvs arrive as a mysterious ball of matted fur that must be soaked in water to reveal the sweet puppy, kitten, or bunny underneath. Each one comes with a collar and tag you can use to name them, a brush to make them fluffy, a hair clip, and even an adoption certificate.

Not to stress you out or anything, but in the wake of hundreds of Toys ‘R’ Us store closures (we may see a comeback from the retailer in the future but sadly not in time for this holiday season), planning ahead this year is even more essential to holiday shopping success. You’re going to need all the help you can get. Note: We’ve also got gift guides for kids of all ages, including 1-year-olds, 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds, 5-year-olds, 7-year-olds, 8-year-olds, and 9-year-olds. Below, we talked to experts to find the toys you should know about — and what to stock up on before they’re all gone.

Recommended for ages 7 and up, adult supervision is recommended. Parents say kids love it, the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and it’s a fun activity for the whole family. While the kit only includes the complete materials for 16 of the experiments and you have to purchase a few additional supplies for the rest of them, parents say it’s still a great value for all the hours of educational entertainment this kit provides.
A fun little ‘toy’ for all the tech kids out there who are always on their phones or tablets!  This cute PopSocket has the message ‘Choose Kindness’ on the top with a cartoon-like rainbow.  In a world that could use some gentle reminders, we think this is the friendly thought our kids could see each and every day and hopefully always remember to choose kindness.  There’s also a cute magical unicorn one too!
There are several Hatchimals to choose from, from “Pengualas” to “Draggles.” But good luck finding any of them — Spin Master, the company behind the toy, says some of its first shipments have already sold out and that it expects the next batch to go quickly, too. Some have ended up on eBay, where they’re listed for more than $100. The company designed the toy to be an interactive experience for kids that endures long after the animal is hatched, and will keep their attention beyond the holidays.
